The slag pot carrier is specially designed for the transportation of slag pots with liquid slag. The slag pot will be picked up with the integrated dumping arms, lowered and dumped. The carrier moves under the furnace or the converters, lifts the pots without additional lifting equipment. The slag pot can be positioned either on the ground or on the transfer cars.
The slag pot carrier will be equipped with a one-man drive cabin which will be a part of the trailing unit.

The carrier frame are a very solid electrically welded steel structure with main longitudinal outer beams and cross beams for optimized load distribution and extensive protections against heat and liquid slag.
At the design of the frame, highest attention will be on the lateral and cross stability of the load.
The high attention will also affect the steel structure of the steering device, the front and rear axles and all protections which are essential for the safety operations.
